Ice climbing advanced
INTRODUCTION
During the winter ice cascades are formed every year in altitude around the Mont Blanc.
This course will help you progress in the universe of winter mountaineering and ice climbing in only a few days.
Either in the High Mountain for the chutes and lower down to the frozen waterfalls.
The only sound is the encounter of the axe against the ice, breaking the winter silence.
PROGRAM
The practice of this kind of climbing is extremely linked to weather conditions (cold).
The strategic positioning of Chamonix allows us to play between France, Italy and Switzerland, ski lifts save us nearly 3000m in 25 minutes. There will always be a terrain to use our ice axes.
For these reasons we do not lock up in a strict program to offer the "best" of the moment according to the conditions and expectations.
Left bank of Argentière, Cognes valley in Italy, ice cascades at the top of Grands Montets or at the top of the Aiguille du Midi ... these are some of the best spots for ice climbing in the valley...
