Ice climbing initiation day
INTRODUCTION
Winter is here and the water freezes! Discover the winter version of traditional climbing on ice waterfalls, the best outdoor experience!
Emotions and shivers: ice climbing is the perfect playground for climbers of all levels.
PROGRAM
With your ice axe and crampons, two essential pieces of equipment, you will climb frozen waterfalls in the heart of the Chamonix valley.
FOR WHO - LEVEL
All levels. Good physical condition is required.
EQUIPMENT
Don’t forget to bring:
• Suitable climbing clothing
• Gloves
• Mountaineering boots
• Crampons
• Ice axe
Your guide will provide the necessary safety equipment. You can hire the technical equipment such as mountaineering shoes, crampons and ice axes at the local sport shops.
INFORMATION
*Participants: Group of 3 to 4 people per guide
*Period: January and February (according to snow and ice conditions).
The activity normally takes place at the Cremerie des Glaciers in Argentiere (weather permitting).
You can also hire a private guide for this activity.
RATES
Group: 110 € per person
With a private guide : 420 € from 1 to 4 people per guide
This price includes the guiding fee and safety equipment. However, it does not include the cost of the ski lift and the technical equipment such as crampons and ice axes.
