INTRODUCTION

Hikers, and outdoor activities lovers, do not hesitate to take the plunge!
 
The high mountain and glaciers offer little technical routes that all people in good physical condition can practice.
 
With this course, we will introduce you to the mountaineering world and you will witness landscapes of great beauty while discovering climbing, with rock, snow and ice technicalities.

PROGRAM

Meeting with your guide the previous evening to review the equipment required and the proposed program.
 
Three days of preparation and acclimatizing to the altitude. Learning or revision of crampon technique.
 
Ascension of 3000m/4000m summits with 2 overnight stays in refuge (Albert Premier and Trient refuges)
• Day 1: Ascent to Albert 1er hut (2702m) and ice school on the Tour glacier. (learning to use crampons and ice axes)
Day 2: Ascension of the small fork (3520m) summit border between France and Switzerland, then along the base of golden needles we reach the refuge Trient (3170m).
Day 3: Ascent to the the Trient glacier and ascent of the Aiguille du Tour (3544m); Return to the Chamonix valley.
 
This program is given as an indication. It can be modified according to the mountain and weather’s conditions and subject to the refuge’s availability.

Beginner, good walker, regular practice of sports.

You can hire the technical equipment such as mountaineering shoes, crampons and ice axe. Your guide will provide a full list of equipment needed before your departure and will take care of the necessary safety equipment.

Included: The guiding fee, safety equipment, 2 nights in a refuge with half board accommodation and eventual lift.
